Newcastle Dental Fees
A routine dental check-up involves an assessment of your oral health, the health of your gums, and if there is any signs of cavities. Should there be any signs of gum problems or cavities, it is our aim to catch things early and prevent complex and costly work from being needed in the future.
Our GAP FREE checks include dental examinations (Item # 011 and # 012) Basic cleaning (Item # 111 and # 114) and fluoride treatment (Item # 121).Most private health fund allow for two check up visits per year.
Newcastle Dental, are happy to provide an estimate of our fees on our website, as we know that they are very reasonable for the excellent service we provide.
Below are some estimates of our fees (All routine check ups are GAP FREE if you are covered through private health insurance).
- Initial Consultation/ Examination (Item # 014, #011): $75-$125
- Basic Cleans ( Item # 111 and # 114) : $75-$145
- Simple Filling – $175- $395. The cost of a filling is depends on it size.
- Surgical Extraction: (Item# 314,323,324) $295-$695
- Simple Extraction: ( Item #311) $295-$395
- Dental Crowns and Veneers ( Item # 613,615,618,556) $ 1850-2150
- Dental Implant: $5500-$6500 per unit
- Mini Dental Implants (for holding in dentures): $950-$1150 per unit.
- Dental Locators (normal sized implants for holding in dentures) $2250-$2750 per unit
All crowns and veneers are made in Australia by local dental laboratories.
Following our initial examination all patients receive a written fully itemised quotation for any dental treatment.
We understand that the cost of dental treatment is difficult for many patients without private health insurance. If cost are an issue we recommend patients contact the surgery and request an initial consultation appointment.
This consultation usually costs $ 75-95. We ask patients to have a full mouth Xray done prior to this visit. This Xray is covered by Medicare. Please contact the surgery for a referral for this Xray prior to your visit.
