Dr Tara McAndrew graduated in 2008 from The University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. After living and working in Canberra for 14 years, her family moved to the
Hunter in 2023 for its warmer climate and to be closer to family. Dr Tara McAndrew has continued to undertake extensive post graduate training including graduating from the Master Class in Principles of Surgical and Restorative Implant Dentistry with Melbourne University.

She has furthered her surgical implant training at the Royal University of Phnom Penh in 2023. She keeps her first aid certificate current, with annual first aid training.
Dr McAndrew is skilled and gentle with extractions as well as implant dentistry. She is also trained in providing Mandibular Advancement Splints for snoring and/or
obstructive sleep apnoea.

She enjoys helping people manage or overcome their dental anxiety. She offers IV sedation (‘sleep dentistry’) for all dental treatment.

Outside of work Dr McAndrew loves bushwalking, hanging out with her daughters and husband, and reading. She can’t wait to own a house in the Hunter and have a
pet.
